Right after removing the aluminum fascia, I began to realize it was going to be bad. The fascia board is completely rotted out here above the kitchen window.

Even worse above the back door - the soffit plywood is also rotted and what's left is hanging.

After removing the soffit and fascia, it's revealed that the bottom roof board is completely shot.
All 37 feet of it - there isn't 1 foot worth keeping. Also, 12 out of 29 rafter tails are crumbling.
There were plastic grocery bags stuffed in holes in the roof board. How can anyone let a roof get that bad?!?!
